Dr. Briardo Reich

Growing up on his family’s large farm in Argentina, Dr. Briardo Reich has had a lifelong love of animals and considers it an honor and privilege to work with all types of them and their owners each day. “As long as I can remember, I have always tried to save every one of them. My love, passion, and fascination for animals, along with the strong support of my family, solidified my determination to become a veterinarian.”

A graduate of Rio Cuarto University in Argentina, Dr. Reich was involved in all aspects of management of beef cattle on his family’s farm and the eradication of the highly contagious Foot and Mouth disease in his native country.

After obtaining his degree in Veterinary Medicine and because of his passion and interest in animals, Dr. Reich moved to the United States to continue his education with emphasis on ‘internal medicine and surgery in small animals. While in the United States he attended Purdue and Tuskegee University to become a licensed veterinarian here.

Dr. Reich has worked in various veterinary practices, including in New York, Virginia, and now in West Virginia. He has acquired vast experience in the field of small animal medicine. “I’m very proud of supporting and helping three non-profit organizations by performing more than 15,000 sterilization procedures in dogs and cats.”

Dr. Reich’s professional interest includes all aspects of small animal medicine with particular emphasis in internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, wellness, soft and orthopedic surgery. He has also been trained in advanced orthopedic procedures such as TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery in dogs.

Currently living in Winchester, Virginia with his wife Solange, daughter Larissa, and two furry family members, cats Peach and Sheshe, Dr. Reich enjoys escaping the harsh winter here to warmer temperatures in Argentina or heading to the beaches of Florida with his family.
